The Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Edition “Le Petit Prince” features a stainless steel case, a midnight-blue dial, a rotating bezel made of blue ceramic as well as white numerals and hands. The patented timezoner function is an excellent example of IWC engineering: the complication is ingenious, robustly built, and easy to use. It allows the user to effortlessly change between different timezones by simply pressing and turning the bezel to the desired location.
The mechanism works without stopping the movement, thus not losing a single second in the process, even across the dateline. The 24-hour display takes the form of a rotating disc below the dial, which significantly enhances its legibility. The IWC-manufactured 82760 calibre movement powers the timezoner function. The automatic Pellaton winding system has been enforced with components made of virtually wear-free ceramic. This “Le Petit Prince” edition features a see-through sapphire glass back for an unimpeded view of the decorated movement. The watch is fitted on a brown calfskin strap and limited to 1500 pieces.
