Big Pilot's Watch AMG G 63

After nearly 20 years of partnership with Mercedes-AMG, IWC Schaffhausen extends its line-up of special editions with the Big Pilot’s Watch AMG G 63. The luxurious timepiece takes inspiration from the black and gold colour scheme of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 “Grand Edition.” It features a case and crown made of 18-carat Armor Gold®. Thanks to its improved microstructure, this alloy is significantly harder and more wear-resistant than conventional 5N gold. The combination of sand-blasted surfaces and polished edges gives the timepiece a classy character.

The black dial is embossed with a relief-like technical structure inspired by the front grilles and air intakes of Mercedes-AMG performance cars. While the numerals and indices on the classic Big Pilot’s Watch are printed, this edition features appliques, which have been PVD-coated and filled with beige luminescence. The white outer rings of the sub-counter for the small seconds at 9 o’clock and the power reserve display at 3 o’clock mimic the iconic headlights of the G-Class. The Big Pilot’s Watch AMG G 63 is powered by the IWC-manufactured 52010 caliber, featuring a Pellaton winding system with ceramic components and a power reserve of seven days. The tinted sapphire glass case back with a Mercedes star is reminiscent of the spare wheel cover on the backside of the G-Class. Completing the exuberant design is a black rubber strap with microfiber inlay and an 18-carat Armor Gold® folding clasp.
