Portugieser Automatic 42 Year of the Horse

The IWC Portugieser Automatic 42 Year of the Horse celebrates the Lunar New Year with a refined design and exceptional watchmaking. The watch features a 42.4 mm stainless steel case paired with a striking burgundy dial with golden hands and appliqués, creating an elegant and distinctive appearance within the iconic Portugieser collection.
Inside beats the IWC-manufactured calibre 52011 automatic movement, equipped with the efficient Pellaton winding system and delivering an impressive 7-day (168-hour) power reserve, displayed directly on the dial. The movement’s oscillating mass is shaped like a galloping horse with an 18-carat gold medallion, paying tribute to the Year of the Horse in the Lunar calendar.

A double box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides ensures excellent clarity, while the sapphire case back reveals the beautifully finished movement. The watch is fitted with a black alligator leather strap, and an additional strap is included for versatility.
